Research
In our laboratory we use bottom up technique to synthesize nanomaterials. There are a number of techniques available to synthesize the nanomaterials. Carbon nanotubes are synthesized using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technique, nanoparticles are synthesized by solution based technique and combustion techniques, nanowires are synthesized by electrospinning technique etc. Each of the techniques has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Another aspect of our research work is application of the nanomaterials. We venture into the field of chemical gas sensors, photodetechors and photovoltaics.
